Peace does not come from war. Look at the loss to our country in terms of life lost and war debt. But it is not a debt for those who manufacture the killing stuff. War is a money maker for investors who create and sell fighting materials. Our first leaders stole land from the Indians and then enslaved the blacks. The US has a history of terror and takeover.
Currently, investors are frothing at the mouth over the next invasion. Why are we in Afghanistan? Nobody knows except those who are in it for the money. War seems to be the main US main occupation. The US government sent pallets of cash, more than 4 billion dollars to Baghdad. Where did the money go? Nobody knows. War goes on without purpose except to make money for the few.
When the guns and cars and tanks and missiles and bullets and overpriced toiletries and over priced medications and overpriced everything are destroyed, the corporations are only too happy to send a new supply. Those on the base, often get rid of stuff that is not damaged. They dump cars and tanks in the desert and announce their loss. There must be “kick backs” for those announcing these phony losses.
Many of our US wars go on without meaning or purpose. How do we get another nation to pick up guns in self-defense to keeps our military businesses operating? One way practiced by “45” is breaking agreements and alliances with international friends. They say, a man is as good as his word. He breaks his word. He is unreliable and can turn on you. Friend turns into enemy.
Another way to drag your victim into the froth of war is to not follow the rules of war. The rules of law divide what solders can do to other soldiers from what they can do to civilians. Rules of war say you cannot bomb schools and hospitals and farms and churches and wedding parties and water purification plants, etc. Bombed civilians grow outraged and frightened which drives them take money used for social purposes and turn it into weapons.
Trump, a megalomaniac got rid of all his war experts, people employed by the government for years. Those not fired, quit. There is no one left to give a contrary opinion. He does what his impulses tell him to do manufacturing reasons as he goes. The latest breaking the rules of war was his assassinating General Soleimani, a military man in Iran, a country we are not fighting. The fact that Trump’s fans call Soleimani a “bad man” does not make killing him just or legal. Worse than that, it brings anarchy into the world. With the US as a model, it is OK now to kill anyone that stands in your way for almost any reason. We don’t like our vulnerability and want it to stop. Do you think it won’t come here? How do we return to sanity and peace?
