Time’s Up

Now the Republicans have voted to take it all away. The “it” in question is all that money can buy, as well as having more money in their bank accounts. The “it” represents all that earth contains that they can take and make their own. The greedy and powerful have done this little by little over time but now they want it all. They hide their entitlement under the illusion that newly acquired money does good for the poor, but more often call the poor lazy, enjoying joblessness rather than working a 40-hour week and not making enough to basic their basic needs.

Why do the obscenely rich need more? It has nothing to do with growing the economy since the absorbed money will only hoarded in off-shore accounts or used to buy other companies, not to create more jobs, but generally resulting in job cuts to increase revenue. Taking away jobs and potential to earn money will destroy the economy since the middle class needs money to buy its products. The rich seem to promote the feeling that they are a better species than the poor but secretly fear the opposite is true.

The “takers” get to wear a crown of money. They are the new aristocrats. How did we , the majority get into creating royalty, people we are supposed to serve and worship? Is it the child to parent experience reemerging? The rich have a castle on the hill with armed guards to keep us out. We slave for a pittance thrown our way, live in tiny houses or in one large structure divided into sections by families.

You can look at this vast demotion from a positive perspective. We can become a group instead of solitary individuals entranced by shallow TV programs or by newscasts touting war. We learn how to meet our needs when the social system fails. Money now lacks meaning since there is nothing left to buy. We can hate and rob our neighbors for having what we lack. Thinking and acting this way enforces out true poverty. We can do it otherwise.

The newly created royals attempt to get us to turn against each other, white against black against gay against Latino against trans… Getting us to divide and attack each other keeps them safe. The royals are frightened of people impoverished by them. Even slave masters slept with a gun beneath their pillow. It wasn’t enough to separate people speaking the same language, to keep them from learning to read and to work them from dark to dark. It wasn’t enough to insist they all came here on slave ships and had no skills despite the growing evidence that Africans sailed and inhabited the Western world a thousand years before the purported birth of Christ, as researched in depth by Ivan Van Sertima and David Imhotep. It wasn’t enough to lie about black history so that the current “owners” can claim divine right.

We need to think of ourselves as a loving population, to figure out how to grow food, to create natural medications from herbs and plants to share our skills, to trade services and goods. We need to store the food we grow. We need to turn away from the worthless classification passed down to us by the rich. We need to create a life we can enjoy with friendship and mutual support as its basis. We can make music and dance.

Submissive Women

It is unusual that I can make it to a tenant’s meeting in my apartment building due to the late hours I keep in my career. But having some time off from work I was able to make it. The man in charge, a very big man with a big voice led the discussion. Occasionally, though, a second man on the panel, spoke up. There were a few long-winded residents, particularly a woman who loved to argue yet could not come to a conclusion. Sprawling, inconclusive speech is both a passive-aggressive attack on the listener as well as a sign of inadequacy in the speaker.

What was extremely noticeable was that the elected women on the panel mostly said nothing. One questioned about the cost of some parts spoke about getting a low price on a construction job. For this she was complimented by the top man. She was the most outspoken of the women. But what it came to bringing up new matters, from the women, there was not a peep.

I found their silence very frustrating and very typical. Women do not take an independent position when men exert their power. Is this our training in our society (and in many societies)? If you speak up, you are labeled unfeminine, a bitch. If you do not speak up, you are labeled passive, unable to take a leadership position. It is your learned subservient role. On Nazi Germany under Hitler, it as the 3 K’s for women, Kirche, Kuche and Kinder (Church, cooking and children.)

How did this come about and why do we let it continue? Women are more than 50% of the population. Where do they put their power? Iceland threw out the bankers who were ruining the economy with their risky self-serving investments of their client’s money and put women in charge. You may not know it but Iceland is considered to have the most intelligent population in the world. It takes brain power to make independent decisions.

I know how to feel afraid that I don’t fit in. Women take the mike but do not make sense, who ramble aimlessly sounding incompetent are part of our learned role. We are supposed to sign in awe when Mr. Man fixes something. Women do not go for the sciences, to math, to physics or computers because these are in man’s world. Who decides? How do we distinguish between innate gifts and the role that was assigned us?

There is only 1 way. Go do the forbidden thing, read the topic, learn the skills your interest requires. Work until you get it. Giving in supports having an inadequate self-image. Abandon assigned roles. Don’t fit in with woman’s dodo image. Speak up but speak precisely to your point. Celebrate individual, creativity. Celebrate your life.

Submissive Women

Went to a meeting in my apartment building the other day, unusual for me to be able to attend since my work outside the building usually keeps late hours. The man in charge, a very big man with a big voice generally led the discussion. Once in a while, a second man on the panel, spoke up. There were a few long-winded residents, particularly a woman who loved to argue and could not come-to- a conclusion. Inadequate speech is both a passive-aggressive attack on the listener as well as a sign of inadequacy.

What was extremely noticeable was that the elected women on the panel mostly said nothing. One questioned about the cost of some repairs. One spoke of getting a low price on some needed item or construction job. For this she was complimented by the top man. and it’s true she was the most outspoken of the women. But when it came to a discussion of affairs already way or bringing up new matters, from the women, not a peep.

I found their silence very frustrating and also very typical. Women do not take an independent position when men exert their power. It is in our training. In our society (and in many societies) f you speak up you are labeled unfeminine, castrating, a bitch. If you do not speak up, you are labeled passive, unable to take a leadership position. In your learned subservient role. In Nazi Germany under Hitler, it was the 2 K’s for women: Kirche, Kuche and Kinder (Church, cooking and children).

How did this insanity come about and why do we let it continue? Women are more than 50 % of the population. Where do they put their power? Iceland threw out the bankers who were ruining the economy with their risky, self-serving investments and put women in charge. You may not know it but Iceland is considered to have the most intelligent population in the world. It takes brain power to made independent decisions.

I know the feeling of fear, of being afraid you don’t fit in. I wonder at women who take the mike who do not make sense. Sounding incompetent is part of our learned role. We are supposed to sigh in awe when Mr. Man fixes something. Women do not go to the sciences, to math, to physics, to computers, because these are a man’s world. Who decided? How do we distinguish between our innate gifts and the role that was assigned to us?

There is only one way. Go do the forbidden thing, read the topic, learn the skills your interest requires. Work until you get it. Giving in supports having an inadequate image. Most people under estimate the time they take to learn to understand and do something. Don’t listen to anyone tell you how long a project takes. Work at it until it is done to your satisfaction. Abandon assigned roles. Don’t fit in with a woman as dodo image. Celebrate individuality, creativity. Celebrate your life.

The Corporate Agenda is for Dying

Their eyes, the eyes of those who have the power to decide, are on making more money now. Later doesn’t exist for them. Needing ever more money is a form of addiction. Their eyes are on making money from the ways that worked for them before, the ways they already are invested in. Change is expensive and therefore to be suppressed, ignored, minimized. The way that made America rich is based on extraction including extracting work from slaves. Take it, dig it, cut it out, net it, use all ways of taking, pay off (bribe)those who have the power to stop you including Congress people. The theme is take take take take take.

Using enormous nets, fish out all that lives in the ocean (discard the species you do not want. Think that the quantity of fish is endless. You have to think that to make your taking moral. Ignore reports of their dwindling and total extinction. Dig more coal. Clean coal as the President calls it. Ignorance united with greed shapes his speech. Dig for oil in national parks. Now they are going for parkland in the north where, a huge number of birds fly to propagate. Sell the parks or cut them way back to mine them and overcharge entry. People are seen as worthless eaters who soon will be replaced by AI. Put pipelines through Indian reservations. Ignore the endless leaking pipes carrying corrosive oil by pipes not built to handle it. Despoil areas that produce our food and water. Science will fix it, won’t it? When?

Hunt the biggest and oldest in the pack of caribou, bears, seals, elephants… the elders  breed the strongest offspring, they lead the herd and train the young’uns. But they look good mounted on your wall. Ignore the potential power source of sun and wind and geothermal and tides. Arrest those who march against this, the tree sitters and tribes praying for water. Spray them with water in the freezing cold, tear gas them, shoot, maim and kill them. Run them over with your car or truck. Arrest those who make noises to scare away the game. Label them terrorists.

Remember the interdependence of life. Take down trees in the Amazon to grow short-lived grass to feed soon-to-be hamburger meat whose top soil soon blows away so you have-to move on. Cut more trees. No trees. No oxygen. Take away the money for medical care and education and park care and roads maintenance and railroads. Keep it for the 1 percent who never have enough. Stop funding birth control as the world population explodes and jobs disappear in an AI world.

Pretty soon you have raving and starving and sickly people in the streets and at your nation’s gates. Where are the rich and the rest of us going to hide when the world explodes with unmet needs?

  Anti-Robin Hood

Trickle down it ain’t. Sure, give them a BIG tax break and then they’ll reinvest it in jobs for the small people currently counting their change. Nothing trickles down to the those that already have too little; there is no reinvestment in them. Instead, we now have government funded tax breaks to cover moving your corporation to a place that pays workers far less than the meager wages of the U.S. too-little-haver, like China and India. How about a tax break for moving to a new job (if you can find one), or for getting a promotion? No dice.

The wealthy spend money on plane trips (for work or pleasure), on hotels, on yachts and houses strewn around the world where they can ski or swim or leave as an empty status symbol, pompously telling their friends that they haven’t been to the chateau in Tuscany in ages, on servants and summer camps for their kids and for tutoring them as well. They spend and spend on themselves, and relatively nothing is spent to support the national income. Individuals and corporations keep their money in island banks who do not reveal their clients or their accounts. The money doesn’t trickle down, but trickles into these secretive financial institutions like some kind of hoarding sickness.

Pretty speeches are made by red and blue politician with zero follow-up. They tell us to worry about the latest terrorist threat and to spend tax money on weapons. The general population is swept along by the rich folk’s tidal wave of greed. Those in congress who disperse tax money to the mega wealthy cling to them as their owners. They are driven by the need for “more.” There is no such thing as having too much. There is just the hoarding of wealth, the hoarding of status, the too-little-havers be damned.

Years go by and there is no trickle down. No money for essentials. What is government to do about this problem they created by reducing taxes for the rich? Sadly, they announce they have to reduce (eventually to nothing) spending on everything that gives people security. Medicare and Medicaid and child care and schools, Meals on Wheels, insurance plans with meaningful coverage. They have to sell the parks or open them for fracking and wood cutting and oil extraction and whatever has a price tag. The world is heating up but we have to sell our oil, wood, gas. Need to make money. Need to make MORE money!

As the necessities for survival grow unavailable, there will be more prisons and police on the street, armed with tanks and military grade weaponry. People will die from diseases due to hunger and pollution and lack of adequate health care. They will be enraged and turn on each other, even prompted to do so by the takers, the wealth hoarders, who deliberately turn loser against loser, because they say another group of too-little-havers are the wrong religion or color or speak the wrong language. The takers stage false flag events in which the “bad guys” are said to kill innocent bystanders to make the people more afraid. Often, the whole thing has been staged and nothing happened.

Our world recovery will not be brought by this politician, political party, General, theocrat or that. Secret payoffs and partisan colors wave in the wind. We cannot create world recovery while attacking one group or another. We need to turn our backs on those who want to take more from you “for your own good.” We need to become the solar people, the tidal wave energy people, the small farm earth-savers, the ones who fight to keep the ocean cool and pollution free, the whale protectors, the people who bring back small production by respected workers, the sharing of our foods and goods within a communal society where money circulates and there are no big pockets. We need to listen to the ones who know what is going on, not the climate change deniers, not the bankers whose eyes fixate on the buck, not the hoarders. We need to listen to ourselves. We need to listen to what is good for the too-little-havers and band together, as such. We can do it. But we must act.

The War on Anything

vacuummoneyThe war on anything is a money-making fraud. Take the war on drugs. Remember Mrs. Reagan’s “just say no.” Notice any lack of opioids in our latest epidemic with its enormous death rate? How long now that the “war against drugs” is only restrained by imprisonment?

Has the war on terror seen a diminishing number of terrorists or is there an increase in their number stemming from our drones murdering their wives, children, the elderly, the newlyweds in their wedding parties, all killed by some clerk in middle America looking at a screen who pushes a kill-them button. He chooses the ones to die including helpers who come after to aid the fallen. Sometimes there’s even a 3rd attack at the cemetery. Killing two is called a 2-fer. The dead are dehumanized into bug splats.   Helpless onlookers turn to violence after watching us destroy their schools and hospitals and water purification plants and … life. Creating terrorists is like a puppy factory. Always a new litter. Did our fighters or drones actually kill any of their leaders and does it really matter? Is our stance of victory fictitious?

It’s fear that turns our pockets inside out so the change falls into waiting hands. It’s fear that takes the bills from our wallets. Waging the war in Iraq is reported to be 4.75 trillion. Corporate news stimulates fear. They’re gonna come and get me.  Oh noooooo. Take my money and build walls against the imagined attackers; distribute guns, enlarge our nuclear arsenal, and feed the military-industrial complex—let death make richer those  that are already rich. After we threaten to drop a nuke on them, they create one to drop on us so that we all will die together. Hopefully, fear of reciprocation stays our hand. Yet, there are lunatics who believe in first strike as an actual win.

How about the ”war on cancer?” ‘charity Navigation reports 52,749,382 spent on breast cancer. There are endless drives to collect money for a cure that is just around the corner. How much of the money goes to the next collection drive, how much to CEO salaries? The cancer treatment, as always, consists of poisoning, radiating and operation. Where are the new wondrous techniques? Where are the breakthroughs we are funding? Are they just around the corner, or back around the bend?

Would a good government kill people they call terrorists in-order to make a profit? Would people in charge of the war on drugs distribute drugs to create the problem, and in turn the war, as a moneymaking schema? Is there an added benefit in silencing those who might put pressure on government to fund social programs by keeping them stoned and passive? The war on drugs arrests minorities disproportionately for drug use, rarely drug using white college students. Finding and arresting the victimized population for as little as a roach in the pocket puts that person into prison for years. The prison population works at corporate jobs for pennies. It is a new form of slavery. Slavery makes the masters rich.

In war, any incursion, any use, any intended or accidentally destructive action to interdependent life can be deemed a necessary sacrifice for the greater good. The eyes of those in charge are blinded by dollar signs. They would have us believe that we are fighting the good fight, but, make no mistake that war, on anything, is simply a translation to creating and hording wealth. Can life on earth be sacrificed for profit? It can and is happening now.
