Victory for the Bully

Children cling to the hand of a powerful parent. Once grown the child within still rules when fear arises. The child is drawn to an aggressive leader as if parent.

Animals line up behind an aggressive leader. Humans who insist they are not animals, line up behind the bully who says I will protect you from the “enemy,” chosen from his current and often changing group. this “enemy” consists of frightened refugees seeking asylum after being bombed, starved, herded by the aggressive leader’s army; then robbed, raped, murdered by drug dealers next come to profit off their helplessness. The followers of the aggressive leader are so frightened by these so-called enemies begging entrance at their gate that they these people are turned away, imprisoned, their children taken from them and put into concentration camps mostly at the border.

People are afraid of extinction. Climate specialists give us 15 years. The Earth, our mother is falling apart due to our digging, extracting, burning and discarding. People say we aren’t animals. We are lordly humans, a group more noble. But behavior and consequences tell a different story. What do we humans do when things look bad for us? Instead of looking in the mirror and seeing ourselves as cause, we turn to an aggressive leader who will stand in front of the mirror, minimize the problem and blame outsiders.

Our “leader” says that the sound of windmills causes cancer. Does he really believe this? Says wind power can’t be stored. Does he not know about batteries? Is he merely lying to support his oil interests? He worships oil that can be retrieved from all the protected places on the earth or stolen from helpless countries.

Humans are so shaped by advertising that they are easily led by an egomaniac who sells himself to them. Our frightened inner child clings to the aggressive leader as a good parent and refuses to see that he is ill-informed or lying; to see that he benefits from his lie. The leader claims that he represents the poor and then gives all tax money to the very rich; He promises support and sells them out.

Those who run against an aggressive leader, have to show their strong side. They need to be verbally aggressive truth tellers. If they act like pathetic beggars trying to civilize a brute, they will not be elected. Look at the candidate’s past to ascertain his future. The “corporate- wing” of the Democrats, people in office for a long time, have no aggression, no history of standing up for survival by “going green.” Where does a corporate person’s money to run for office come from and then he/she votes accordingly? Do not choose a “politician” with a corporate chain around his ankles. History repeats itself.
